I'm currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager opportunity with a growing and well-established manufacturing business. This is a standalone procurement role within a wider Supply Chain function, offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape procurement strategy while working closely with colleagues across the business.

\n

If you're an experienced procurement professional who enjoys building supplier partnerships, driving commercial improvements and influencing business decisions, this could be an excellent next step.

As Procurement Manager, you'll lead all procurement activities across raw materials, products and business services, ensuring quality, cost, service and continuity of supply meet business requirements.

\n

Operating as the procurement specialist within the organisation, you'll work closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Finance teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate commercial agreements and identify opportunities for long-term value creation.

\n

While this is a standalone role, you'll work closely with and be supported by a Supply Chain Coordinator, enabling you to focus on strategic procurement activities while maintaining strong operational alignment across the wider supply chain function.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies across materials and services.
  • \n
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key suppliers.
  • \n
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to maximise value and minimise risk.
  • \n
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and service level agreements.
  • \n
  • Develop supplier risk assessment and contingency planning processes.
  • \n
  • Manage tender activities for significant expenditure projects.
  • \n
  • Lead cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Support budgeting and expenditure control across procurement spend.
  • \n
  • Identify and develop new suppliers and sourcing opportunities globally.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support growth, operational performance and supply chain resilience.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement and procurement best practice.
  • \n

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Purchasing.
  • \n
  • Strong supplier negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering measurable cost savings and commercial improvements.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management and risk mitigation.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • \n
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, production or supply chain environment.
  • \n
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • \n
  • CIPS qualification or membership
  • \n
