\nWe are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead our established Children's Residential Home in Cromford, Derbyshire, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to take the lead in a well-established home with an experienced team, where your focus will be on driving quality, developing staff, and ensuring children receive the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
The Role\nAs the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
\nYou will inspire your team to deliver exceptional, child-centred care while maintaining a strong culture of safeguarding, continuous improvement, and positive outcomes for every young person.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home. \n
- Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision of the staff team. \n
- Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds the Children's Homes Quality Standards. \n
- Promote outstanding safeguarding practices and maintain a strong safeguarding culture. \n
- Drive positive outcomes for children and young people through high-quality care planning and effective placement management. \n
- Monitor and improve the quality of care through robust auditing and quality assurance systems. \n
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing staff team. \n
- Manage budgets and resources effectively. \n
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, health professionals, and other stakeholders. \n
- Ensure all statutory requirements, policies, and procedures are implemented and maintained. \n
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home remains inspection ready at all times. \n
You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record within children's residential care and a genuine passion for improving the lives of children who have experienced trauma.
Essential Requirements\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential home. \n
- Strong working knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. \n
- Experience working with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). \n
- Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating, and developing teams. \n
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection. \n
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. \n

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to complete within required timescales. \n
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). \n
