Financial Controller

An established business is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance within its UK finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to play a key role in maintaining a robust control environment while driving process improvements and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close.
\n
• Produce statutory and management reporting.
\n
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial governance.
\n
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Support external audits and statutory reporting.
\n
• Improve finance processes, systems and reporting.
\n
• Partner with the wider finance team to ensure financial accuracy and control.
\n

About You

\n
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
\n
• Strong background in Financial Control, Financial Reporting or Technical Accounting.
\n
• Excellent knowledge of statutory reporting, audit and internal controls.
\n
• Experience improving finance processes and ERP systems.
\n
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
