Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Doncaster Pay: £110-£126 per day Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Temporary with the potential to become permanent Introduction Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Doncaster from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys leading learning, supporting pupil progress and making a positive impact across the primary age range. The role offers the opportunity to secure a longer-term or permanent position for the right candidate. Role Summary Working alongside class teachers and school leaders, you will support learning across the school, deliver interventions, lead whole-class learning where required and help ensure all pupils can access an engaging and inclusive education. Key Responsibilities Lead whole-class learning during teacher release time or short-term absence. Deliver high-quality interventions to individuals and small groups. Support planning and preparation of learning activities. Monitor and record pupil progress. Adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEND. Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Support assessment activities and classroom organisation. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents.Candidate Requirements HLTA qualification or recognised equivalent experience. Recent experience working within a UK primary school. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Confidence delivering lessons independently. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding and child-centred practice.Pay and Progression Pay for this role is £110-£126 per day. The highest available rate of £126 per day is generally achievable for candidates who can demonstrate: HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification. Experience leading whole-class learning independently. Strong intervention experience. Experience supporting pupils with SEND. A proven track record across multiple primary year groups.Why Apply?
