Makaton Qualified - Teaching Assistant

Location: Knowsley Campus - St. Helen's College

Position: Full-Time

Contract: Temporary Ongoing

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Reed Further Education are currently seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a Makaton qualification to join a supportive educational setting based at St. Helen's College at the Knowsley Campus on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis.

• Provide classroom support to learners with additional needs.
\n
• Use Makaton effectively to support communication and engagement.
\n
• Assist teaching staff in delivering inclusive and accessible learning activities.
\n
• Support learners on a one-to-one and small group basis.
\n
• Promote a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
\n

\n
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
\n
• Makaton qualification and practical experience using Makaton
\n
• Experience supporting learners with SEND/additional learning needs
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
\n

• Competitive hourly rate of £16 per hour
\n
• Full-time hours
