Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Complex Needs (Female Only)

Day Service | Truro (TR4)

We are recruiting a compassionate female Support Worker to join a specialist day service supporting adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex health needs.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, experienced team delivering meaningful, person-centred support in a structured daytime environment.

\n

Responsibilities

  • Supporting adults with PMLD and complex health needs
  • \n
  • Delivering person-centred support within a day service
  • \n
  • Assisting with personal care, moving and handling and daily routines
  • \n
  • Supporting activities that promote engagement and wellbeing
  • \n
  • Following detailed care and support plans
  • \n
  • Working closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • \n
  • Promoting dignity, choice and independence
  • \n

Requirements

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities preferred
  • \n
  • Female applicants only due to service user requirements
  • \n
  • Comfortable providing personal care
  • \n
  • Driver not essential
  • \n
  • Compassionate, patient and reliable
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • Right to work in the UK
  • \n
