Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with a very successful client to recruit a Management Accountant on the outskirts of Newcastle.Your duties will be as follows:

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
\n
• Ensuring that all transactions are completed accurately and the trial balance is maintained and closed at period ends
\n
• Responsible for variance analysis (actual vs budget vs forecast) with actionable insights
\n
• Profitability analysis to support operational improvements and strategic decision making
\n
• Producing cash flow forecasts to support with budgeting, forecasting and working capital management
\n
• Producing UK statutory accounts and maintaining technical proficiency by reviewing changes to relevant accounting standards
\n
• Preparation and submission of VAT and any other regulatory returns as necessary
\n
• Driving automation and digitalisation of finance processes using Business and Artificial Intelligence tools
\n
• Supporting relationships with external stakeholders including our auditors, bankers, insurers and pensions advisors
\n

You will be a qualified Accountant although those who are part qualified will be considered. Strong IT and analytical skills are essential and a passion for AI would be advantageous.
