Senior Management Accountant
Job Description
Growth creates opportunity. It also creates complexity.
\nThis is one of the UK's fastest-growing businesses in its sector.
\nRapid growth and acquisition have created an exciting challenge: transforming the finance function so it's every bit as capable and ambitious as the business it supports.
\nNow comes the next chapter.
\nBetter reporting. Stronger controls. Smarter processes. More meaningful insight.
\nLet's be honest.
\nIf you enjoy a predictable month-end, established processes and knowing exactly what tomorrow looks like, this probably isn't your next move.
\nBut if you get genuine satisfaction from bringing order to complexity, improving the way things work and leaving a finance function stronger than you found it, keep reading.
\nYou'll be joining a finance leadership team that knows exactly where it's heading. The vision is clear. The commitment to improving systems, reporting and commercial insight is genuine. What they need now is someone with the energy, patience, resilience and pragmatism to help make it happen.
\nThis is a hands-on Management Accountant role where you'll take ownership of the monthly management accounts while playing a key part in strengthening the finance function. You'll spend as much time improving reporting, refining Excel models, analysing large datasets and developing robust processes as you will producing the numbers themselves.
\nIt's about creating reporting the business can genuinely trust and building the foundations that support better decision-making as the organisation continues to grow.
\nYou'll need to enjoy getting into the detail, questioning how things are done and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working. If solving problems gives you as much satisfaction as producing accurate management accounts, you'll fit right in.
\nThe offices are located near Cheltenham. The role is largely office-based; it is expected that there will be some flexibility to work from home post-transformation, c.12 months.
\nIf you're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong Excel skills and management accounting experience gained within wholesale, retail, distribution, manufacturing or another product-based environment, we need to talk.
\nTwelve months from now you'll be able to look back and point to reporting you've improved, processes you've strengthened and a finance function you've genuinely helped shape.
\nIf you're looking for another Management Accountant role, this isn't it.
\nIf you're looking for the opportunity to build something exceptional, I'd love to hear from you.
\n
