The Role\n

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a busy manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, drive performance and ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Working on a Panama Days shift pattern, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the production department, ensuring efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement across your shift.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives and team leaders.
  • \n
  • Ensure daily production plans are achieved safely, efficiently and to schedule.
  • \n
  • Monitor KPIs including output, waste, downtime and labour efficiency.
  • \n
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
  • \n
  • Ensure quality standards and company procedures are consistently followed.
  • \n
  • Manage staffing levels, shift handovers and employee performance.
  • \n
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • \n
  • Work closely with engineering, quality and planning teams to maximise operational performance.

The Candidate\n
    \n
  • Previous experience as a Production Shift Manager, Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Team Leader within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • \n
  • Experience managing KPIs and driving production performance.
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • \n
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of health and safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
  • \n
  • Continuous improvement experience would be advantageous
