Trade Compliance Coordinator

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Trade Compliance Specialist for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.

Daily Duties:-

\n
• Providing guidance on UK import requirements for goods arriving from the EU.
\n
• Prepare customs documentation and declarations for import and export shipments.
\n
• Maintain CITES records, including uploading import and re-export certificates.
\n
• Liaising with HMRC regarding customs procedures and compliance matters.
\n
• Support the Head of Trade Compliance and wider operational teams.
\n
• Support the movement of goods across international borders while ensuring customs compliance.
\n
• Classify products using the correct tariff and commodity codes.
\n
• Audit customs entries to ensure compliance with UK import and export legislation.
\n
• Produce KPI reports and management information within agreed deadlines.
\n
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
\n

Required Experience:-

\n
• Experience in Customs, Trade Compliance or Freight Forwarding.
\n
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations.
\n
• Understanding of commodity codes, tariffs, customs valuation, Incoterms and rules of origin.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
\n

Working hours are; Monday to Friday working hours 0830 – 1730
