Senior Accountant (Practice) – Year-End, Tax & P11DsLeigh-on-Sea | £38,000–£45,000 DOE | Full-time

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice in Leigh-on-Sea. This role is ideal for someone confident managing year-end work independently and supporting a varied client portfolio.

You will take ownership of key accounting responsibilities, working closely with the Practice Partner and supporting a wide range of clients. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent accuracy, and the ability to work independently.

• Prepare year-end accounts without supervision
\n
• Complete tax computations and support tax compliance
\n
• Prepare P11Ds
\n
• Manage and review nominal ledger accounts
\n
• Work across multiple accounting software packages (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
\n
• Support the Practice Partner with client queries, reporting, and technical issues
\n

You’ll bring strong technical accounting knowledge and confidence working within a busy practice environment.

You must have:

• Extensive experience managing nominal ledger accounts
\n
• Strong practice background (minimum 3+ years preferred)
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and other accounting systems
\n
• Solid understanding of year-end processes and tax compliance
\n
