  • Receiving, unloading and safely storing hire equipment within the depot, ensuring stock is organised efficiently
  • \n
  • Cleaning, maintaining and testing cold store units and associated equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
  • \n
  • Inspecting, servicing and preparing hire equipment to ensure it is fully operational prior to customer dispatch
  • \n
  • Accurately picking equipment for customer hire orders based on operational requirements
  • \n
  • Updating inventory records and maintaining accurate stock information using internal computer systems
  • \n
  • Supporting the loading and unloading of hire equipment while ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained
  • \n
  • Carrying out routine inspections to identify maintenance requirements and report equipment issues promptly
  • \n
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the depot and ensuring all work areas remain safe and organised
  • \n
  • Adhering to all company health and safety policies and procedures, including manual handling guidance
  • \n
  • Participating in a planned depot standby and call-out rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required
  • \n
What You Will Need to Apply: The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working within a warehouse, depot, logistics, engineering or equipment hire environment where maintaining operational standards and supporting customer requirements have been key responsibilities. Applicants should possess excellent organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently within a busy operational environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates should be confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications to maintain inventory records and process equipment movements. Previous experience operating forklifts would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach will be essential, alongside the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively. Applicants should also be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. The successful individual will be reliable, proactive and safety-conscious, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high standards of service.
