  • Prepare and present reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Boards
  • \n
  • Direct, coach, and mentor audit team members to support them in the effective delivery of engagements
  • \n
  • Time-plan your own workload and client engagements, managing competing priorities in an organised and professional manner
  • \n
  • Play an active role in business development, maintaining and growing your professional network and contributing to proposals and presentations for new work
  • \n
  • Explore opportunities to provide wider assurance services to clients where appropriate
  • \n
  • Participate in team-wide and firm-wide activities, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • \n
  • Have the flexibility to develop expertise and portfolio interests beyond social housing, in areas that align with your professional interests
  • \n
What we're looking for\n
    \n
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or ICAS (or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
  • \n
  • Proven ability to manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, on time and within budget
  • \n
  • Confident people management skills, with experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting junior colleagues
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders including Boards and Audit Committees
  • \n
  • Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to business development and relationship management
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • \n
Nice to have\n
    \n
  • Knowledge and experience of auditing in the not-for-profit, charity, or social housing sector
  • \n
  • Familiarity with the Housing SORP or Charities SORP
  • \n
  • Existing relationships or a network within the social purpose sector
  • \n
Why join\n
\n Our client offers a genuinely supportive environment for professionals who want to build a meaningful specialism and progress their career at pace.\n
\n
    \n
  • Work alongside experienced partners in a dynamic and growing national team
  • \n
  • Real encouragement to take on responsibility and develop quickly, with a clear pathway for progression
  • \n
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation and rewards those committed to making a difference
  • \n
  • Competitive salary and a flexible benefits package (full details available upon application)
  • \n
  • Agile working arrangements and a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing
  • \n
  • Access to expert knowledge, continuous learning opportunities, and internal training
  • \n
  • Flexible and part-time working arrangements are considered for this role
  • \n
  • A firm committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and merit-based progression
  • \n
