Forklift & Warehouse Operative – Chippenham / Calne

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift & Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Licence to join our well-established client based in Chippenham on a full-time ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable warehouse and logistics environment.

You will be working within a busy warehouse environment, supporting daily operations across both the Chippenham and Calne sites while ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Forklift Driver, Counterbalance Driver or Warehouse Operative.

Please note: Due to travel between sites, access to your own transport is essential.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.20 per hour

Shift Pattern:

As a Forklift & Warehouse Operative, you will work:

\n
• Monday to Friday
\n
• 09:00 to 17:00
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Forklift & Warehouse Operative are:

\n
• Supporting warehouse processes within a busy working environment
\n
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
\n
• Moving materials and stock around the warehouse and yard
\n
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
\n
• Preparing customer orders for dispatch
\n
• Using a jet wash to clean equipment and yard areas
\n
• Completing general warehouse and yard duties
\n
• Carrying out stock checks and completing basic documentation
\n
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
\n
• Working across both the Calne and Chippenham sites when required
\n

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Forklift & Warehouse Operative, you will need:

• A valid Counterbalance Licence
\n
• Confidence using tools and related equipment
\n
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
\n
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
\n
• The ability to follow instructions and work safely at all times
\n
• Good communication skills
\n
• Excellent attention to detail
\n
• Access to your own transport due to travel between sites
\n

Training:

As a Forklift & Warehouse Operative, you will receive:

• Full training before commencing work
\n
• Ongoing development and support throughout your assignment
\n
