\nChessington, Surrey - Commutable from Kingston upon Thames, Epsom, Surbiton, Sutton, Croydon, Leatherhead, Esher, New Malden, Wimbledon and surrounding areas
\n£35,000 - £40,000 + Monday - Thursday (8:00am - 5:00pm) + Early Finish Fridays (12:00pm) + Annual Bonus + Life Assurance + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

\nOn offer is a permanent position within a well-established precision engineering business supplying high-quality components into industries including aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear, and general engineering.
\nDue to continued growth, they are looking to expand their machining team at their Chessington facility. You will play a key role in manufacturing high-precision turned components, ensuring products are produced to the highest quality standards while supporting a busy and modern machine shop.
\nIn this role, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines, working from engineering drawings, producing precision components to tight tolerances, and carrying out in-process inspection to ensure all parts meet customer specifications.
\nThe day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

- Setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components \n
- Producing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings \n
- Performing tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments \n
- Inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment \n
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and housekeeping within the machine shop \n
- Working with production and engineering teams to meet customer delivery schedules \n
The Person:
\n- \n
- Experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Lathe Setter/Operator, CNC Machinist, or similar within a precision engineering environment \n
- Experience setting and operating CNC lathes (programming experience advantageous but not essential) \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings \n
- Experience using precision measuring equipment to inspect machined components \n
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work \n
