This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team in a varied role where you will gain exposure across all aspects of transactional finance while contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently. This position would suit an experienced Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or someone looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced finance environment. Key Responsibilities\n

- Manage the sales ledger, including raising invoices, allocating receipts and resolving customer queries. \n
- Support credit control activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. \n
- Process purchase ledger invoices and prepare supplier payment runs. \n
- Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations. \n
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. \n
- Process customer refunds and reconcile associated accounts. \n
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of purchase order and expense management systems. \n
- Investigate and resolve outstanding or suspense account balances. \n
- Support the month-end process through reconciliations and reporting. \n
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve finance-related queries. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of the finance function. \n
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required. \n

- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance position. \n
- Experience working with both sales and purchase ledger. \n
- Strong reconciliation skills and an understanding of transactional finance processes. \n
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite. \n
- Experience using accounting software (any ERP or finance system considered). \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- A positive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop. \n
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative finance team. \n

- Salary of £28,000 - £30,000. \n
