Quality Inspector

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturer in Sheffield, who supply high-integrity components into the global oil & gas sector.

Due to continued growth, they're looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business known for investing in its people, maintaining high manufacturing standards, and producing safety-critical components.

You'll play a key role in ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards through thorough inspection and verification activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of machined components
\n
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
\n
• Using a range of inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges and CMM (experience beneficial)
\n
• Completing inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
\n
• Identifying and reporting non-conformances
\n
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions where required
\n
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
\n

We're looking for someone who has:

\n
• Previous experience in a Quality Inspector role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
\n
• Experience inspecting machined components
\n
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
\n
• Strong knowledge of manual inspection equipment
\n
• Experience using CMMs would be advantageous
\n
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
\n
• Experience working within ISO 9001 or API-controlled environments is desirable
\n
