Registered Manager – Children’s Home\n

Location: Chipping, Preston Salary: Up to £63,000 per year

\n

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, plus scheduled on-call duties

An established children’s residential care provider is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic EBD home. This is a chance to shape a stable environment, build a strong team, and make a genuine difference in young people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home
  • \n
  • Create a safe, structured, nurturing environment
  • \n
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the residential care team
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • \n
  • Oversee care quality, staff performance, and service development
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and professionals
  • \n
  • Drive the home towards strong inspection outcomes and continuous improvement
  • \n
Requirements\n

Essential:

\n
    \n
  • Minimum 3 years in a senior role within children’s EBD care
  • \n
  • Previous leadership/management experience in a children’s home
  • \n
  • Strong safeguarding & Ofsted regulation knowledge
  • \n
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Willingness to complete/hold Level 5 Leadership & Management
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence
  • \n

Desirable:

  • 5+ years’ experience in EBD settings
  • \n
  • Experience supporting children with emotional & behavioural needs
  • \n
  • Track record of achieving/maintaining Good or Outstanding outcomes
  • \n
