Parts and Retail Salesperson

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Parts & Retail Salesperson on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused and enthusiastic individual to join a busy retail and parts team. This varied role combines retail sales, customer service and stock management, supporting both trade and retail customers while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the showroom. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for sales and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As the Parts & Retail Salesperson, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while assisting with the day-to-day operation of the showroom. You will provide advice and support to customers purchasing parts, hardware, clothing and groundcare machinery, ensuring they receive the right products for their needs. You will also support the workshop by identifying and supplying parts, process customer orders, manage incoming stock and contribute to achieving sales targets.

• Provide exceptional customer service to both trade and retail customers, either face-to-face, over the telephone or via email.
\n
• Assist customers with the purchase of agricultural parts, hardware, clothing and groundcare machinery.
\n
• Build strong customer relationships by offering knowledgeable product advice and recommending suitable solutions.
\n
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring stock availability.
\n
• Support workshop technicians with parts identification and supply.
\n
• Receive, check and distribute incoming goods and customer orders.
\n
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure the showroom is well presented at all times.
\n
• Handle cash, card and cheque payments accurately.
\n
• Work towards sales targets while identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
\n
• Support promotional activities and seasonal sales campaigns where required.
\n
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and efficient day-to-day operations.
\n

• Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising within the showroom.
\n
• Maintain accurate records using internal computer systems.
\n
• Ensure the showroom remains clean, organised and fully stocked.
\n
• Support other departments when required to meet business needs.
\n
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
\n
• Represent the business professionally at all times.
\n
• Demonstrate flexibility during busy periods, including participation in the Saturday rota.
\n

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous retail, customer service or sales experience, ideally within a parts, agricultural or machinery environment.
\n
• Knowledge of agricultural, horticultural or groundcare machinery and parts would be highly advantageous.
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• A friendly, confident and professional manner with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
\n
• Experience using computer systems, email and Microsoft Office.
\n
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
\n
• A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative and prioritise workload.
\n
• A motivated approach towards achieving sales targets.
\n
• A smart and professional appearance.
\n
• A full UK driving licence.
\n

• Hours: 39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. Saturday working on a rota basis, with overtime paid after 39 hours.
\n
