Vehicle Technician

Our client, an established independent used car dealership located in Hereford, is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department. • Potential earnings up to £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:\n

\n
• Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
\n
• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and communicate findings to the Service Manager
\n
• Ensure repair work adheres to health, safety, and quality standards
\n
• Maintain high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction
\n
• Complete relevant documentation and reports comprehensively and accurately
\n
• Assist with vehicle inspections and health checks as required
\n
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
\n
• Support the team in meeting performance targets and objectives
\n

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:\n

\n
• IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, although strong demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
\n
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
\n
• Experience in a similar role within a busy dealership or repair environment
\n
• Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques
\n
• Motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused
\n
• Ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines
\n
• MOT licence would be advantageous but is not essential
\n
