Senior Estimator

Our client has recently been awarded several new Frameworks (and with existing volume of works increasing on current frameworks) as such,, they are seeking to increase the size of their Estimating team with both Estimators and Senior Estimators.Our client works across various sectors, rail, aviation, local authority, highways etc and is ideally seeking individuals that have a proven background of working on bids within these industries.Current project portfolio includes:? Highways & Roads? Under bridges, Overbridges & Footbridges? Tunnels & Station Infrastructure? Flood Alleviation & Repairs? Earthworks & Embankments? Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes & TelecomsKey Responsibilities:Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentationPreparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to deliveryPresentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetingsLiaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiriesTechnical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary worksTake-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principlesEffective analysis and pricing of risksPreparation of tender submission documentsPreparation of estimating reportsProviding assistance to proposals and contract management functionsRequirements:Previous experience as a Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and powerFirst Principles Estimating experienceCivil engineering project experienceExperience as a Senior Estimator in a civil engineering contractor organisationWorking knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating softwareTPBN1_UKTJ
