Specialist Cleaning Team Supervisor

Role PurposeTo supervise and coordinate specialist cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery through effective supervision of staff, equipment, and resources. The role requires hands-on involvement in industrial cleaning activities alongside supervisory responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day specialist and industrial cleaning activitiesAllocate labour and equipment efficiently to meet operational requirementsEnsure all work is completed to agreed specifications, deadlines, and quality standardsSupervise, motivate, and support cleaning operativesSupervise the allocation, maintenance, and safe use of specialist cleaning equipment whilst on siteEnsure all equipment is fit for purpose and compliant with relevant regulationsEnsure full compliance with instructions and risk assessments providedPromote a strong safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are followedReport accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement any immediate corrective actionsAct as a point of contact for clients on-siteBuild and maintain positive working environmentRespond to on-site client queriesSupervise/undertake specialist and industrial cleaning tasksOperate machinery such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other specialist equipmentPerson Specification - Essential CriteriaProven experience in specialist and/or industrial cleaningDemonstrable experience supervising or managing cleaning teamsExperience in resource planning and equipment allocationFull clean-ish UK Driving Licence (manual)Knowledge & SkillsExperience working with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)Strong organisational and problem-solving skillsGood communication and leadership abilitiesCompetence in using cleaning machinery and specialist equipmentDesirable CriteriaValid CSCS CardIPAF QualificationFirst Aid qualificationPersonal AttributesProactive and hands-on approachReliable and flexible, with willingness to travelHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong leadership presence and ability to motivate teamsProfessional and customer-focusedTPBN1_UKTJ
