Labourer

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Housing, and Maintenance. We employ over 280 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We are now seeking to recruit a Labourer to join our Preservation team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assisting with preservation works to protect and improve buildings, including cleaning and treating surfaces affected by damp, mould, or environmental damage
\n
• Supporting site teams with general labouring duties such as preparing work areas, handling materials, and maintaining tools and equipment.
\n
• Carrying out cleaning and surface preparation tasks to ensure buildings are safe, well-maintained, and ready for further treatment.
\n
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
\n
• Travelling to various sites as required.
\n

Candidate Requirements

\n
• Previous labouring experience within construction is desirable, but not essential.
\n
• Full UK driving licence (essential – company van will be provided).
\n
• A good awareness of health and safety on site.
\n
• Willingness to carry out hands-on work and learn new skills.
\n
• Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
\n
• Understanding the importance of delivering good customer service.
\n
