The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering personalized nursing care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating patient care
- Conducting patient assessments
- Providing patient education
- Performing triage and various nursing interventions
This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to effectively plan, implement, and assess patient care. The RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full scope of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice is essential. Our nursing practice framework is grounded in the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as outlined by the American Nurses Association.
Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred, including institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
- Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice, or hold multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Required to obtain and maintain department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
