Obstetrics/Gynecology

We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for ongoing work near Dardanelle, AR. Preference will be given to candidates with an Arkansas medical license.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for clinic operations as well as overnight and weekend on-call duties.
• Weekend on-call begins Friday at 8 AM and concludes Monday at 8 AM.
• Clinic hours are set for four days a week from 8 AM to 4 PM, including a one-hour lunch break.
• On-call rotation is 1:4.
• Call type will be via beeper.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Required specialty skills include:
• Management of low-risk pregnancies
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• OB ultrasounds: performance and interpretation, including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
• Routine vaginal deliveries, including low forceps assistance
• Decision-making for cesarean sections and handling complicated deliveries
• Experience with breech births, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations
• Minor gynecological procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Surgical gynecology skills, including open and laparoscopic procedures for tubal ligation, ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, and cystectomy
• Laser certification is a plus.
• Preferred skills include:
• High-risk pregnancy management
• Amniocentesis
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is required.
• A fellowship is preferred.
• Certifications needed: BLS, PALS, and Fetal Monitoring.
• Must hold a valid license in Arkansas or be part of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Familiarity with Level 3 Trauma is essential.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Athena and Meditech is preferred.
• Expedited credentialing privileges are available for candidates with clean professional histories.

Compensation and Benefits

• A referral bonus of $2000 will be awarded for any referral who completes 160 hours of work.
