Obstetrics/ Gynecology

We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin work as soon as possible for an ongoing position near Ferguson, KY. A Kentucky medical license is preferred.

• Type of Coverage: Call Only.
• Call Format: In-House.
• Practice Environment: Inpatient.
• The department is equipped with 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections and emergencies.

• Must possess a valid Kentucky medical license.
• A clean background with no issues is required.
• Specialty Skills Needed:
  • Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Fetal heart rate interpretation - including NST, CST, and FSE.
  • OB Ultrasound skills - performance and interpretation, including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic).
  • Amniocentesis.
  • Routine deliveries (vaginal, low forceps) and decision-making for cesarean sections.
  • Handling complicated deliveries (cesarean sections, breech births, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs).
  • Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations.
  • Surgical gynecology - open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, including tubal ligation, LOAs, and chronal tubation.
  • Operative/major procedures (including diagnostic) such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs.
• Certifications Required: BLS and PALS.
• Must be licensed in Kentucky or hold an IMLC.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically MediTech.
• Credentialing process will take approximately 60 days.

• Receive a $2000 referral bonus for any referral who completes 160 hours of work.
• Competitive rates for weeknight call, with a premium for being called in.
• Weekend call is compensated at a rate equivalent to 6 regular hours per day when called in.
