We are seeking a motivated Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to join a growing legal team. This position offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced attorneys on a variety of criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and comfortable handling cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an independent caseload of criminal defense matters.

  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other court documents.

  • Conduct legal research and case preparation.

  • Gather and review discovery and other case-related information.

  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress and strategy.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.

  • Travel as needed for court appearances and client matters.

  • Perform additional legal assignments as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of criminal defense experience.

  • Active license and member in good standing with the applicable state bar.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills.

  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish or another language) are a plus.

  • Criminal defense litigation.

  • Legal drafting and motion practice.

  • Courtroom advocacy and trial preparation.
