Anesthesiology Opportunity in Ohio - Updated Paid Time Off!
Job Description
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to become a part of our established hospital-based team. This role involves overseeing a medically directed program that includes four Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
The base salary is set within a range of $552,465, aligning with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates, with additional compensation available based on experience.
*Note: Individuals who are not yet board certified will receive a salary that is 5% lower, with adjustments made upon achieving board certification.
CONTRACT DETAILS:
Time Off: 292 hours of paid time off (PTO) plus additional days off after on-call shifts.
Continuing Medical Education: 5 days of PTO and funding up to $5,000 for books and journals.
Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of income up to the IRS limit of $23,500 annually, without matching contributions.
Retirement Savings: A 403b plan is available, permitting deferral up to $23,500 annually for those under 50, and $31,000 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base salary.
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 provided for moving expenses.
Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 in total.
Health Insurance: A small premium is deducted from the physician's paycheck.
Non-Compete Clause: A 70-mile radius and a two-year non-compete agreement, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.
On-Call Compensation Program: Details to be provided by the CFO.
Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 available for repayment, at a rate of $25,000 per year for each year of service commitment.
Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000 available, contingent on a two-year service commitment.
Signing Bonus: 15% of the base salary, up to $100,000, payable upon signing the contract and forgiven over a period of 2 to 4 years based on the bonus amount.
Performance Bonuses: Attractive bonus incentives of up to 10% of the salary.
PRACTICE INFORMATION:
Location: Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with cases commencing at 7:30 a.m.), hours may extend for additional surgical cases.
Staff Composition:
8 Anesthesiologists
18 CRNAs
Call Schedule:
Call is shared with two CRNAs.
Weekday call is on a 1:5 rotation, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Weekend call follows a 1:5 rotation, from Friday 7:00 a.m. to Monday 7:00 a.m.
Post-call days are compensated with a day off.
Participation in the Pay for Call (CERP) program.
