EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to become a part of our hospital-based team!

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

  • Option #1: A base salary of $264,865 (50th percentile MGMA for recent graduates), with additional compensation based on experience, guaranteed for two years. This can transition to a wRVU production contract once targets are surpassed.

  • Option #2: A base salary of $324,725 (75th percentile MGMA), guaranteed for one year, after which it will shift to a wRVU production contract.

*Note: Those who are not yet board certified will receive a 5% reduction in salary, which will be adjusted upon certification.

Contract Details:

  • Vacation: 29 paid days off (PTO). An additional 5 days will be granted upon achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.

  • CME/Books & Journals: 5 days of PTO and up to $5,000 for continuing education.

  • Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000, with $25,000 per year for each year of service commitment.

  • Deferred Compensation: 457b plan allowing deferral of compensation up to the IRS limit of $24,500 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.

  • Retirement/Savings Plan: 403b plan permitting deferral of compensation up to the IRS limit of $24,500 annually for those under 50, and $31,000 for those over 50. We match contributions dollar for dollar up to 2% of base salary.

  • Relocation Assistance: $10,000 provided for moving expenses.

  • Malpractice Insurance: Coverage in a claims-made policy, with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.

  • Health Insurance: A small premium is paid by the provider, deducted from the paycheck.

  • Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles and 2 years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.

  • Signing Bonus: 15% of the base salary, up to $100,000, paid upon signing the contract and forgiven over 2-4 years.

  • Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent on a service commitment of up to 2 years.

  • Bonus Opportunities: Attractive bonus incentives of up to 10% of salary.

PRACTICE INFORMATION:

  • Location: Pediatric Associates, Portsmouth, OH.

  • Work Schedule:

    • Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 3/12 shifts.

    • Weekend office hours: Scheduled every 12 weekends.

    • 40 hours per week - hours adjusted during weekdays if working 12-hour shifts or weekends.

    • Possible late evening hours from 4 PM to 8 PM or weekend hours from 9 AM to 1 PM.

    • Nursery rounding and call coverage shared among 5 providers from Friday to Sunday and Monday to Thursday.

  • Staffing:

    • 7 Physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers.

    • Support staff including an Office Manager, Medical Office Assistants, and LPNs.

  • Patient Load: Approximately 25 patients per day.

  • Equipment:

    • Point-of-Care testing for Lead, Hemoglobin, Urine, Bilirubin, Strep, Flu, Pregnancy, Oxygen levels, and Nebulizers.

    • On-site lab services available.

  • Procedures:

    • Wart removal, casting, ear irrigation, treatment of ingrown toenails, incision and drainage, and cryotherapy.

    • Nursery procedures including NRP, attendance at high-risk deliveries, newborn airway management, umbilical line placement, and stabilization while awaiting transfer.

  • Additional Information:

    • Strong collaboration with leading children's hospitals.

    • Monthly educational sessions with a children's hospital and partnerships for school health initiatives.

    • Specialty care services available at our Portsmouth and West Union locations.
