Salary Range:
$350,000 - $475,000

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Gastroenterologist specializing in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join our expanding gastroenterology team. This role is part of our established IBD Center, which operates within a collaborative academic and community-focused setting, featuring integrated pharmacy services, advanced practitioners, social work, and nutritional support. The position offers a competitive salary along with participation in an annual bonus program based on RVUs and our Quality, Scholarship, and Citizenship Grid, in addition to the base salary. A sign-on bonus is also available.
Key Highlights:
Become a part of our IBD Center, serving patients throughout Southern New England.
Provide care for a varied patient demographic with conditions such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other inflammatory bowel disorders.
Work closely with specialists in colorectal surgery, radiology, pathology, nutrition, social work, pharmacy, and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive IBD care.
Contribute to the development and expansion of IBD services across our health system.
Clinic schedule includes 2 sessions per week (1 day), averaging 8 patients per session.
Procedural schedule consists of 6 sessions per week (3 days total).
Academic and administrative responsibilities include 2 sessions per week (1 day).
Participate in a night call rotation (1:7).
Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Record system.
Academic appointment with UMass Chan will be based on experience.
Engage in clinical research, quality improvement projects, community outreach, and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
Must possess an MD or DO degree and be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license.
Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, with a specific focus on IBD. Advanced fellowship training in IBD is preferred but not mandatory.
