Job Description
Our organization is seeking an Oncology Hospitalist to deliver inpatient care for individuals facing cancer and intricate medical challenges at a prominent academic medical center in Boston.
The OpportunityOversee the care of hospitalized oncology patients in close partnership with medical oncologists, subspecialists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, pharmacists, and palliative care teams.
Assess acute medical concerns, treatment-related complications, infections, symptom management, and other complex inpatient requirements.
Facilitate safe transitions between inpatient, outpatient, and specialized oncology environments.
Engage in a multidisciplinary approach aimed at delivering high-quality, patient-focused cancer care.
Opportunities for teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and academic involvement may be available based on qualifications and interests.
MD or DO with successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine is required.
Experience in oncology hospitalist roles, inpatient oncology, or hematology/oncology is highly desirable.
Must be eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.
Strong collaboration and communication abilities are essential.
