Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and collaborative Upper School Special Education (EC Inclusion) Teacher to support students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering academic achievement, promoting student independence, and collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to ensure student success.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusive learning environments.
Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement instructional strategies, accommodations, and curriculum modifications.
Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with student needs and applicable regulations.
Assess student academic and behavioral progress and use data to adjust instructional practices.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education requirements.
Partner with parents, administrators, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and achievement.
Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, independence, and social-emotional development.
Support effective classroom management and implement positive behavior strategies.
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure before employment.
North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) Certification, if applicable.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and instructional best practices.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and classroom management skills.
