Compensation

• Earn a weekend premium of $2.50 per hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Base pay can reach up to $19.75 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

The Small Engine Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing a variety of outdoor small engine products, including chainsaws, snowblowers, lawnmowers, UTVs, and ATVs. This position also emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service.

• Diagnose and repair outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, and other mechanical devices.
• Provide exceptional service and a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with loading and unloading products, locating parts, and addressing inquiries about repairs.
• Diagnose, assemble, and repair all small engine and outdoor power equipment available at our stores.
• Document repairs on work orders, track equipment in the shop, and complete and close out work orders.
• Assist with warranty claims and ensure timely filing.
• Communicate with customers regarding the completion dates of their repairs.
• Attend training sessions and seminars for repair technicians.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work evenings as needed and at least every other weekend.
• Experience in small engine and/or automotive maintenance.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Retail experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
