Obstetrics/ Gynecology

We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for ongoing coverage near Toisnot Heights, NC. A valid North Carolina medical license is mandatory.

• Coverage: 24-hour on-call duty from 7 AM to 7 AM.
• Call Type: Beeper system.
• Practice Environment: Inpatient care.
• Essential Skills Required:
  • Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
  • Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB Ultrasound skills, including performance and interpretation of Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Routine vaginal deliveries
  • Decision-making for cesarean sections
  • Handling complicated deliveries, including breech and multiple births
  • Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations
  • Surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (e.g., tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromopertubation)
  • Laser certification
• The candidate must possess an ACTIVE North Carolina license, a clean professional history, and the ability to perform the required skills listed.
• Current experience with circumcisions is necessary.
• Average Deliveries Annually: Approximately 650.
• Only candidates licensed in North Carolina will be considered.
• EMR System: MediTech.
• Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Fellowship: Preferred.
• Credentialing Process: Approximately 15 days.
• Referral Bonus: $2000 for any referral who completes 160 hours of work.
• Compensation: Competitive rates for weeknight call, with additional premiums for weekend call (6 regular hours per day when called in).
• Hourly Pay: Competitive, along with housing, car rental, gas, mileage (for personal vehicle use only), parking, tolls, baggage fees, and A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail coverage included.
