Position: Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Med Surg
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Up to $1,451 – $1,982 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $40.32 – $55.06 per hour.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Assist the Director in managing daily operations, staffing, and workflow within the department.
- Supervise, guide, and assess team members.
- Ensure optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources.
- Maintain high standards of department operations and patient care.
- Provide direct patient care as required within your scope of practice.
- Monitor and adjust patient care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance patient outcomes.
- Foster a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
- Oversee staff performance and unit operations during your assigned shift.
Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Valid and current state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it
- Minimum of one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting is required
- PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it
Our organization offers competitive pay, with an estimated compensation range for this role being $40.32 to $55.06. This estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for other geographic areas. The precise starting salary will be determined at the time of hiring, taking into account various factors such as skill set, relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
