EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:

We are offering a hospital-based Urgent Care position located in Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, or West Union, OH. This facility combines Urgent Care and Family Practice services and operates seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

  • Option #1: A base salary of $292,680* (50th percentile MGMA for recent graduates) with additional earnings based on experience, guaranteed for two years. This can transition to a wRVU production model once targets are surpassed.

  • Option #2: A base salary of $366,170* (75th percentile MGMA) guaranteed for the first year, after which it will shift to a wRVU production contract.

The two-year contract also includes:

  • Vacation: 232 hours of paid time off (PTO), with an additional 40 hours available upon achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.

  • CME/Books & Journals: 40 hours of PTO and up to $5,000 for continuing medical education.

  • Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of compensation up to the IRS limit of $24,500 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.

  • Retirement/Savings Plan: A 403b plan where you can defer compensation up to $24,500 annually before taxes if under 50 years old, and $31,000 if over 50. The organization matches contributions dollar for dollar up to 2% of base salary.

  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 provided for moving expenses.

  • Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.

  • Health Insurance: A small premium is paid by the provider, deducted from the paycheck.

  • Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for two years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.

  • Bonus Opportunities: Attractive bonus incentives of up to 10% of salary.

  • Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 in loan repayment ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).

  • Sign-On Bonus: 15% of base salary, up to $100,000, paid upon signing the contract and forgiven over a period of 2-4 years.

  • Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000 available (requires a service commitment of up to two years).

PRACTICE DETAILS:

  • Location: Family Health Center in Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, or West Union.

  • Office Hours/Schedule:

    • Operating hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

    • Shifts: 6 or 7 twelve-hour shifts within a two-week pay period, including rotating weekends.

    • Lab, x-ray, and pharmacy services align with Urgent Care hours.

    • Family practice, CT, MRI, and ultrasound services are available by appointment.

  • Staffing:

    • One nurse assigned per provider, with two providers working each day.

    • Four Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on staff.

  • Patient Load: Expect to see between 30 to 50 patients daily.

  • Equipment: Includes IV pumps, slit lamps, basic instruments, AEDs, and EKG machines.

  • Practice Expectations:

    • Ability to work efficiently and adapt to unexpected situations.

    • Confidence in making quick assessments and developing treatment plans.

    • Timely completion of patient charts.

    • Engagement in Antibiotic Stewardship initiatives.
