Department Overview

This role focuses on Adult Palliative Care, Adult Oncology, and Pain Management, while also providing support to the Children's Hospital Music Therapist.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and coordinating music-related activities and programs. Acting as an advocate for patients, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to identify appropriate therapeutic interventions. You will implement personalized music therapy treatment plans that align with other developmental, rehabilitative, habilitative, medical, mental health, preventive, wellness, or educational services provided to clients. This role emphasizes family-centered care and aims to enhance positive coping mechanisms and resilience within the healthcare environment. Continuous assessment of the interventions utilized will also be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy is mandatory.
• Certification as a Music Therapist – Board Certified from the Certification Board for Music Therapists is required.
• In North Dakota, licensure as a Music Therapist with the State Board of Integrative Health Care is necessary.
