About the Company
Client is a real estate investment and development firm in Denton, Texas specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of a diverse portfolio of properties and operating companies across multiple industries. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for full-cycle accounting operations across multiple entities, including financial reporting, payroll and benefits administration, intercompany billing, cash management, and compliance. This is an in-office role.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise a staff accountant and oversee daily accounting operations
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for multiple entities
Support development team through project reporting and loan maintenance
Process bi-weekly payroll
Manage & reconcile benefit invoices and assist with annual benefit renewal
Oversee intercompany expense allocations and billing
Prepare annual financial budgets for operating companies
Monitor cash needs across entities and coordinate funding with management
Prepare and file annual 1099 reports for all entities
Administer the accounting software programs
Identify opportunities for system improvements and automation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities
Experience with financial reporting for multiple entities or properties
Proficient in corporate accounting principles and GAAP standards
Highly skilled in accounting software, Quickbooks or Yardi preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with payroll processing and systems, Paylocity a plus
