Acute Care Unit Overview:

Our unit is structured to meet diverse patient needs, allowing nurses to care for a combination of ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical patients based on their acuity. In this position, you will leverage your clinical skills and empathetic approach to assist patients and their families during critical recovery phases. Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, acting as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
• Carry out procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
• Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
