Acute Care Unit Overview:

Our unit is structured to meet diverse patient needs, allowing nurses to care for a combination of ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical patients based on their acuity. Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, acting as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or functions as directed by the medical provider.
  • Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and accurately.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications Required:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
