Position: Travel ICU Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Intensive Care Unit

Available Shifts: Day and Night

Compensation: Up to $1,491 – $2,067 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $41.44 – $57.43 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise ICU operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
  • Guide, mentor, and support the performance and growth of staff.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and HR-related tasks.
  • Oversee inventory, equipment, and overall unit readiness.
  • Coordinate patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Address patient care issues and escalate concerns through the proper channels.
  • Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
  • Provide direct patient care as necessary to ensure safe staffing and quality outcomes.
  • Guarantee safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to regulatory standards.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

  1. Valid and current state RN License
  2. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
  3. Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
  4. At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting is required.
  5. One to two years of previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital or ICU setting is required.
