Lab Technician

Part-Time Laboratory Technician

Locations: 1096 E Iona Rd, Idaho Falls, ID 83401

Shift: 20-31 hours per week MAX (closer to 20)

4 hours (12pm-4pm); Friday - Sunday

8 hours (10am-6pm); Monday

Start Date: ASAP

Interview: 2 rounds

1st Round: Virtual 30 minutes

Final Round: 30 minutes in person

Desired Traits:

• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory practices or willingness to be trained.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks during shifts.
• Able to work in a team, dynamic, and fast paced environment.

Plusses:

• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Pipe Petting Experience.

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the Idaho Falls, ID area. Below are general responsibilities.

• Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, & plate reading; weighing, inputting media, documentation.
• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.
• Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission, in a timely manner.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
