Senior Tax Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
Oversee complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax engagements from planning through final review.
Manage tax compliance workflows and ensure accurate, timely preparation and filing of tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to complex tax situations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
Review tax returns and workpapers to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
Support advisory projects and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Collaborate with internal team members to achieve client and firm objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
Several years of progressive public accounting experience with increasing tax responsibilities.
Strong expertise in tax planning, tax compliance, and tax preparation.
Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, and multi-state tax matters.
Previous supervisory or managerial experience leading tax professionals.
Proficiency with tax and accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, office-based environment.
