Project Manager – Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R)
\nLocation: Atlanta, GA (5 Days Onsite)
\nPosition Summary
\nWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) initiatives within a retail, distribution, or supply chain environment. This role will drive projects focused on inventory optimization, demand forecasting, replenishment processes, and supply chain transformation while partnering with cross-functional business and technology teams.
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience managing Supply Chain Planning or Inventory Planning projects and possess a strong understanding of forecasting, replenishment, and inventory management processes across retail, distribution, or manufacturing organizations.
\nKey Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) projects from initiation through successful delivery.
\n - \n
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource plans.
\n - \n
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders.
\n - \n
Drive initiatives focused on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment accuracy, and supply chain process improvements.
\n - \n
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful and timely delivery.
\n - \n
Support business requirements gathering, solution design reviews, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support.
\n - \n
Partner with business teams to improve inventory planning processes, ordering rules, replenishment parameters, and item setup.
\n - \n
Track and analyze inventory-related KPIs, including forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, product availability, and replenishment performance.
\n - \n
Facilitate project governance meetings, executive status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
\n - \n
Lead organizational change management activities, user training, and adoption of new business processes and system enhancements.
\n - \n
Ensure projects are delivered with high quality while meeting business objectives, timelines, and budget expectations.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of Project Management experience delivering Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, or Replenishment initiatives.
\n - \n
Strong understanding of Inventory Planning, Demand Forecasting, Replenishment, and Inventory Optimization concepts.
\n - \n
Experience managing cross-functional projects involving Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising, and IT organizations.
\n - \n
Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
\n - \n
Experience coordinating enterprise system implementations, enhancements, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
\n - \n
Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
\n - \n
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) is a plus.

Must Haves
\n *IP&R experience is non-negotiable — minimum ~3–4 years in IP&R specifically.
\n *Overall experience: ideally 7+ years; client would like to see up to 10 years.
\n *Recent IP&R experience preferred, but a candidate with 1 year of recent IP&R experience plus 2–3 years of similar experience further back could still be considered — full continuous 3 years not mandatory.
