Faculty Position in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Our Organization - General OB

Our organization’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has a rich history of pioneering advancements in women’s reproductive health. We are proud to have developed the Apgar score for evaluating newborn health, to be the first in the nation to conduct an amniocentesis, and to have introduced RhoGAM, which has nearly eliminated Rh-incompatibility reactions that previously led to numerous fetal and neonatal fatalities and health issues annually.

Situated in the vibrant medical community of CUIMC, our team comprises over 100 physicians and more than 40 post-graduate residents and fellows who collaborate with researchers and clinicians to address women’s health care needs. We are dedicated to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care, training the next generation of Ob/Gyn leaders, fostering innovative research, and integrating these advancements into clinical practice.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a faculty member in Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our General OB/GYN Division. We invite applications from full-time board-certified or board-eligible candidates to engage in the clinical and academic activities of our vibrant department.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Managing general obstetrics and gynecology patients.
• Performing gynecologic surgeries.

The ideal candidate will show a strong dedication to delivering high-quality clinical care, promoting academic scholarship, and educating residents and medical students. Clinical duties will take place at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and various Columbia University outpatient facilities in Midtown and Washington Heights. Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• New York Medical License.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified.

• Strong communication skills, excellent bedside manner, and organizational abilities.

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
