We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opening for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to become part of our Cardiology department in Mason City, Iowa. Our organization is a physician-owned, multi-specialty group dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare.

Opportunity Highlights

• Join a dynamic team consisting of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 nurse practitioners.
• Participate in a 1:3 call rotation, with the potential for additional call compensation of $1,500 per day, and fellows will take first call.
• Engage in a comprehensive practice that includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Provide a full spectrum of cardiology services, encompassing non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and electrophysiology, in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgery teams. Proficiency in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions is required.
• Be part of a growing structural heart center with an established TAVR program, an active LAAO/Watchman program, and a robust heart team infrastructure (including CT surgery, imaging, and anesthesia), along with registry participation (TVT, LAAO, NCDR).
• Opportunity for training within our Cardiology fellowship program.
• Engage in outreach initiatives at one of our 10 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
• Serve a primary service area of approximately 300,000 residents.
• Work at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive guaranteed base salary of $779,214 per year, plus production incentives (2-year guaranteed base).
• Significant recruitment bonus of $100,000.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible; must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility.
• H1B and J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
• All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.
• A graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is required.
• Demonstrated competency through completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
