Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Chief Lending Officer. Position Overview: The Chief Lending Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and overall performance of the organization's lending portfolio. This role oversees all aspects of commercial, consumer, and real estate lending, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and risk management standards. The CLO will drive loan portfolio growth, enhance credit quality, and build strong relationships within the Northern Virginia business community. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute short- and long-term lending strategies aligned with organizational goals Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, financial performance, and growth initiatives Monitor market trends across Northern Virginia to identify new lending opportunities Oversee all lending functions, including commercial, consumer, and real estate lending Manage the performance, profitability, and risk profile of the loan portfolio [climbtheladder.com] Establish loan pricing, underwriting standards, and credit policies Ensure strong credit quality and portfolio diversification Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of lenders and credit professionals Establish performance expectations and accountability metrics Foster a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement Serve as a visible leader in the Northern Virginia business and financial community Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and referral sources [neacareers.com] Actively participate in networking events, industry groups, and economic development initiatives Requirements: Bachelor's degree 12+ years of experience in lending, investment or finance Significant management experience The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
