Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for a Driver; supporting our San Diego, CA location.
Position Summary
A Driver Is responsible for delivery and pickup of supplies, equipment to/from job site, shop or vendor’s facility. Assist in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts vehicle inspection for safety discrepancies or damage, complete timely report of new discrepancies.
- Responsible for delivery and pickup of supplies, equipment to/from job site, shop or vendor’s facility
- Ensure safety and security of transported loads, equipment, supplies.
- Performs simple maintenance, such as filling fuel tank, cleaning interior and exterior.
- Obeys all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.
- Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent education and experience.
- Valid state driver’s license (with clean driving record) and knowledge of local driving area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of hand and power tools, fasteners and fittings.
- Possess mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate with others.
