Job Type: Full-Time, 100% onsite Monday to Friday
Pay Rate starting at $23/hr DOE.
A growing transportation and logistics organization is seeking a Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to support daily operations and ensure the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and supplies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and field personnel, coordinates transportation logistics, maintains regulatory compliance, and assists with fleet and driver management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, and DOT/FMCSA compliance.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and field personnel, coordinates transportation logistics, maintains regulatory compliance, and assists with fleet and driver management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, and DOT/FMCSA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate drivers and transportation resources for deliveries to multiple locations and job sites.
- Schedule and manage pick-up and return of freight containers and transportation equipment.
- Prepare routing documentation and shipping paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Serve as the primary contact for drivers while on the road and provide problem-solving support as needed.
- Recruit and onboard drivers based on seasonal and operational requirements.
- Coordinate pre-employment, random, DOT, and post-accident drug testing programs.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, including driver qualification files, MVR reviews, background checks, and employment verifications.
- Maintain accurate driver records and compliance documentation.
- Track rental trucks and other transportation assets while coordinating timely returns.
- Arrange passenger vehicle rentals and transportation support during peak operational periods.
- Monitor daily workflow and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize transportation and logistics processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of dispatching, logistics coordination, transportation, or related experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn transportation and logistics software.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations preferred.
- Experience maintaining compliance records and supporting audits.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with changing priorities.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to work in an office environment with frequent communication by phone and email.
