Billing Generalist

We are currently looking for a Medical Billing Generalist to join our medical office team!

HYBRID REMOTE work schedule after training.

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, PTO, and holiday pay.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5, no nights, weekends, or major holidays.

The Medical Billing Generalist Responsibilities include but not limited to:

\n
• Manage Billing Phone Queue (Inbound & Outbound), answer patient questions and resolve patient concerns
\n
• Manage correspondence between staff members and patients to provide solutions for billing questions, concerns, and/or needs
\n
• Review, research, and advise claims and payment history for patients
\n
• Independently comprehend, to provide explanation, status of accounts to include but not limited to balances, credits, and identifying inconsistencies
\n
• Review and ensure patients are informed on their outstanding debts and estimates of patient responsibility prior to appointments
\n
• Provide solutions to any relative problems of patients
\n
• Collaborate with team members in assisting with payment plans for patients
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Proven experience as Billing Specialist
\n
• Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
\n
• Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
\n
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
\n
• Results-driven and patient
\n
• High degree of attention to detail
\n
• Professional phone and interpersonal skills
\n
