Business Development Manager � Phoenix
\nNOW CFO is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Phoenix team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work model and regular in-person activity throughout the market.
\nCompensation: $90,000�$110,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus commission, health benefits, and a 401(k).
\nNOW CFO provides outsourced accounting and financial consulting solutions to businesses across the Phoenix area. While accounting or finance experience is preferred, the most important qualifications are strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the ability to generate new opportunities.
\nThe ideal candidate has deep ties to the Phoenix business community, an established local network, and a polished, outgoing approach to business development.
\nResponsibilities

- Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, and community involvement. \n
- Build relationships with business owners, executives, and key Centers of Influence. \n
- Develop referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, and other professional service organizations. \n
- Conduct introductory and discovery conversations to understand prospective clients� challenges and priorities. \n
- Connect qualified prospects with NOW CFO�s Directors, who will manage scoping and proposal development. \n
- Advance opportunities through the sales process and support a smooth handoff into service delivery. \n
- Plan, host, and attend events that strengthen NOW CFO�s presence in the Phoenix market. \n
- Maintain consistent prospect, referral partner, and client activity. \n
- Keep CRM records, pipeline information, and follow-up activity accurate and current. \n
- Build long-term client relationships that support retention, referrals, and continued growth. \n
Qualifications

- Proven success in business development, relationship management, account executive, or consultative sales roles. \n
- An established professional network within the Phoenix metropolitan area. \n
- Strong familiarity with the local business community. \n
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy. \n
- Ability to communicate confidently with business owners and executive-level leaders. \n
- Polished presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. \n
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and time-management abilities. \n
- Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and related technology. \n
- Resilient, optimistic, and motivated throughout longer sales cycles. \n
- Ability to travel throughout the Phoenix area for meetings, events, and client interactions. \n
- Bachelor�s degree preferred. \n
Preferred Experience

- Professional services, accounting, finance, advisory, or fractional consulting experience. \n
- Experience selling relationship-driven services to executive decision-makers. \n
- Experience planning or hosting professional networking events. \n
- An active professional presence on LinkedIn. \n
- Experience with a national or regional accounting, advisory, or professional services firm. \n
